Practice Philosophy
I believe therapy should be a place where people of all ages feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow. Whether I’m working with a child through play, guiding a teenager through the ups and downs of adolescence, or supporting a parent who is balancing their own well-being while caring for their family, my goal is always the same: to create a compassionate space where healing and transformation can take root.
My approach is collaborative and strength-based. I help clients build resilience, discover their inner resources, and develop tools they can carry into everyday life—at home, at school, and in relationships. With children, I often use play therapy and creative expression to help them communicate what words can’t yet capture. With teens, I offer a safe place to explore identity, manage emotions, and grow in confidence. With women and mothers, I provide a supportive environment to navigate life’s pressures while also fostering healthier family connections.
I also specialize in co-parenting support, helping parents reduce conflict, strengthen communication, and place their children’s well-being at the center. For individuals navigating trauma or major transitions, I take a trauma-informed, holistic approach that honors the mind-body connection and encourages renewal, balance, and hope.
Above all, I believe therapy is not just about addressing problems—it’s about creating lasting change, building stronger relationships, and discovering new ways of being that allow both children and adults to thrive.
Therapeutic Approach & Specialties
For Teens: Working with teenagers, I foster a respectful and relatable approach that acknowledges their unique challenges and growing independence. I aim to support teens in navigating the complexities of adolescence, from identity exploration to relationship building. My therapy sessions are designed to be a safe space where teens can openly discuss their concerns and aspirations. I equip them with tools for emotional regulation, effective communication, and decision-making skills. Together, we work towards enhancing their self-awareness and confidence, setting a strong foundation for their future.
For Co-Parenting: I specialize in co-parenting therapy, supporting parents who are navigating the challenges of raising children together after separation or divorce. My approach helps co-parents establish clear communication, reduce conflict, and prioritize their children’s well-being. Together, we work on building healthy boundaries, creating collaborative parenting plans, and fostering a respectful dynamic that allows children to feel secure and supported whether in one or multiple households.
For Individual Therapy with Adults: I specialize in helping adult individuals enhance their self-esteem and empowerment. Many people struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, and negative self-talk, which can keep them feeling stuck. I work collaboratively with clients to challenge limiting beliefs, develop self-compassion, and embrace their authentic selves. My approach incorporates mindfulness, positive psychology, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to foster lasting confidence and a stronger sense of self-worth.
Divorce & Life Transitions
Life changes—whether expected or unexpected—can bring a mix of emotions, from grief to relief. Divorce and major life transitions can feel overwhelming, but they also offer an opportunity for growth. I help clients process emotions, rediscover their identity, and move forward with confidence. My approach encourages clients to embrace change as a time for self-renewal and personal reinvention.
Women’s Health & Well-Being
Women often face unique challenges, from societal expectations to navigating relationships, motherhood, and career pressures. I offer a safe and empowering space for women to explore their identities, develop self-acceptance, and prioritize their well-being. Whether struggling with body image, stress, or major life decisions, I guide clients in making choices that honor their values and aspirations.
Trauma & PTSD
Understanding and healing from trauma is at the core of my therapeutic work. Trauma impacts not just the mind but also the body, emotions, and relationships. Through a trauma-informed lens, I help clients process their experiences, build resilience, and regain a sense of control. Therapy is a space to reframe past experiences, release emotional burdens, and cultivate a renewed sense of self. Coming from a victim services background, I take on an empowerment-based and trauma-informed approach, helping clients reclaim their sense of safety, agency, and self-worth.
Background
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and my bicultural background has shaped my understanding of how identity, culture, and personal experiences influence mental health. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, I am passionate about making therapy accessible to diverse communities and helping individuals feel understood and supported.
I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William and Mary and my Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Florida. My education and clinical experience have equipped me with a holistic approach to therapy, integrating both scientific research and compassionate care to help my clients thrive.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy hot yoga, long walks, and spending time with my dog, Seamus. My self-care practices keep me grounded, and I encourage my clients to explore their own ways of nurturing emotional balance.
Therapy is a journey, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their healing and personal growth. Whether you are facing a life transition, struggling with self-doubt, or seeking to heal from past experiences, I am here to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can thrive and create the life you deserve.
