"In the depths of our pain lies the potential for transformation, and through therapeutic exploration, we can rewrite our stories, heal our wounds, and embrace a life of purpose and inner strength."

Meet Ruth

Practice Philosophy:

Life inevitably presents us with experiences of trauma, pain, loss, and adversity that shape who we are and influence how we navigate the world. Often, we develop our own survival mechanisms in the absence of guidance to navigate these challenges. Initially, these coping strategies may serve a purpose, but they can become obstacles that hinder our daily functioning, trapping us in cycles of frustration and pain. My firm belief is that by delving into therapeutic exploration of our past traumas, we can acknowledge and release them, integrating them into a more meaningful and fulfilling present.

Therapeutic Approach:

My utmost priority is to create a safe and sacred space where clients can embark on their journey of self-discovery. I recognize that each person has a unique story and perspective, which is why I tailor my approach to meet their individual backgrounds and needs. Through close collaboration with each client, I facilitate their process of finding inner peace amidst pain, uncovering significance even in the most challenging moments, and embracing their innate inner strength. Together, we navigate the path towards healing and growth.

Individual Therapy:

Individual therapy provides a unique and personalized approach to healing and growth. In this confidential and supportive space, I work closely with clients to understand their specific needs, goals, and concerns. By tailoring my therapeutic techniques and interventions to everyone, I empower them to explore their inner world, gain self-awareness, and develop effective coping strategies. Through this collaborative process, clients can overcome challenges, enhance personal well-being, and achieve their desired outcomes.

Couples Therapy:

Couples therapy offers a transformative journey for partners seeking to strengthen their relationship and resolve conflicts. Within a safe and non-judgmental environment, I facilitate open communication, deep understanding, and shared growth between couples. By exploring each partner's perspectives, emotions, and needs, I help them navigate challenges, rebuild trust, and foster a more fulfilling connection.

Trauma can have a profound impact on our lives, causing persistent distress and affecting our ability to function. In therapy, I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and are struggling. Together, we create a safe and nurturing space where we can explore and process the traumatic events that have shaped your life.

Sexual Abuse Healing Support for Both Men and Women:

Trauma and sexual abuse can leave deep wounds that affect all aspects of a person's life. In therapy, I provide a compassionate and safe space for individuals who have experienced trauma and sexual abuse to embark on their healing journey. I strive to help survivors of trauma and sexual abuse find healing, restore trust in themselves and others, and build a path towards a more resilient and fulfilling life

Women's Issues:

Women face a unique set of challenges that can impact their overall well-being and quality of life. In therapy, I specialize in addressing women's issues and providing a supportive environment for exploring and navigating these experiences. Whether it's body image concerns, gender roles, self-esteem, motherhood, or navigating societal expectations, Together, we delve into these topics, unpack their impact on daily life, and work towards fostering self-love. My aim is to help women thrive, embrace their authentic selves, and create fulfilling lives that align with their values and aspirations.

Sexual Addiction:

Through evidence-based therapeutic techniques and tailored treatment plans, I assist individuals in exploring the underlying factors contributing to their addiction and developing healthy coping mechanisms. My goal is to empower clients to regain control over their lives, restore healthy relationships, and cultivate a fulfilling and balanced future.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy:

Ketamine-assisted therapy is a specialized approach that combines the therapeutic benefits of ketamine with the guidance and support of a trained therapist.  I provide personalized guidance, integrating traditional therapeutic techniques to help clients process their experiences, gain new insights, and promote healing and personal growth. Together, we embark on a transformative journey towards improved mental well-being and a more fulfilling life.

Parenting / Special Needs Parenting and Young Adult Support:

As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with extensive experience, I specialize in supporting parents with special needs children and young adults. I understand the unique challenges and complexities that come with raising children who have special needs, and I provide guidance, empowerment, and resources to navigate this journey. With a compassionate and individualized approach, I work closely with parents to address their concerns, explore effective coping strategies, and enhance their ability to support their child's development and well-being.

I am a native Floridian, originally from Orlando and having lived in various parts of beautiful Florida. At the age of 17, I became a mother, and over the past 30 years, my husband and I have built a strong and enduring partnership, formalizing our commitment when I turned 23. Together, we have raised three remarkable boys, one of whom has special needs, which has taught us the importance of unconditional love and resilience. Despite the challenges, I pursued my education starting in 2010, embracing the opportunity for personal growth and knowledge. As a coffee enthusiast and dedicated plant mom, I find solace and joy in the simple pleasures that life offers.
